ABOUT THE AWARD

The Chris Dagg Award for Impact in International Sustainable Development was created to honour the legacy of Chris Dagg as an exemplary internationalist.

Dr. Dagg was especially valued at Simon Fraser University, where he held a range of key international cooperation posts for 30 years. This award honours his longstanding service, and his significant contributions to the shaping and advancement of international issues and activities at SFU.

Today, the award recognizes and celebrates the achievements of a member of SFU's staff or faculty who has made substantial contributions over many years to international sustainable development on behalf of the University. Recipients are internationally recognized as leaders in their respective fields, and their work has had profile and impact far beyond Canada's borders, within both institutions and communities.

The deadline for nominations for the 2023 Chris Dagg Award has passed, and the call is now closed.

Please check back here in early 2024 for the next call for nominations. For more information, please contact Mirranda Cross at mcross@sfu.ca.
