  • April 3, 2019: Ramesh Thakur, Director of the Centre for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament at Australian National University, visited the School and spoke with students in our core graduate seminar. He also fielded questions from students about R2P and a range of related topics. Members of the seminar appreciated having this chance to speak with him.
  • April 2, 2019: Paul Meyer's article “Creating an Environment for Nuclear Disarmament: Striding Forward or Stepping Back?” has been published in the April issue of “Arms Control Today”. It takes a critical look at a new US policy departure with respect to the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty (NPT) and suggests other remedial measures that nuclear weapon states can take in advance of the crucial 2020 NPT Review Conference. A link to the article is here but it has restricted access. “Arms Control Today” is available at SFU’s Library at Harbour Centre.
