Biologist's science buzz earns honey of a prize

The Confederation of University Faculty Associations of British Columbia named bee expert and award-winning science writer Mark Winston the province's top academic in celebration of his outstanding contribution to the wider community. Winston, whose engaging general-interest science columns appear twice monthly in the Vancouver Sun newspaper, has accumulated a lengthy list of awards — including Fulbright and Killam fellowships — in recognition of his ground-breaking pest management research.
