Due to the cyber security incident impacting the Canvas Learning Management System, access to online safety training is currently unavailable. SFU Safety & Risk Services is working on alternative training delivery solutions.

In the meantime, it is important for new personnel to work under direct supervision.

Training Records

Supervisors and employees can now track their safety training records with ease through Safety Spectrum’s new Training Records module.

Mandatory Training for all SFU Employees

SFU Safety Orientation	Mandatory for new/young workers. Complete the orientation checklist or the checklist version specifically for Laboratory workers. For SFU-affiliated personnel who do not have a SFU computing ID set up, please email labsafe@sfu.ca to register. Refresher training is recommended every 5 years

EHS has developed a variety of training courses to support members of the Local Joint Health and Safety Committees (LJHSCs) and the Central University Health and Safety Committee (CUHSC) in completing safety committee activities.
