Active Bystander Network

The Active Bystander Network is part of a campus-wide initiative to create a culture of zero tolerance for sexual violence at SFU. Working with other network members, and supported by the Sexual Violence Support & Prevention Office, network members will receive training to plan, prepare, and deliver presentations and outreach initiatives that contribute to raising student understanding of the issues surrounding sexual violence. Network members will also gain the skills to act as active bystanders in the community (recognize and intervene appropriately), and facilitate difficult conversations about comments or actions that may promote sexual violence.
