SFU’s Vancouver campus hosts multiple welcome events throughout the year to welcome students, faculty and staff to each new semester at SFU! Events combine fun activities and games, prize draws and free swag, and information about services and resources available to you at the Vancouver campus.
Welcome Back Community BBQ and SFUReady
As part of SFU’s Month of Welcome, SFU’s Vancouver campus hosts a Welcome Back Community BBQ every September in the Woodward's Atrium. Students, staff, faculty, community members, and local businesses come together to celebrate the start of a new semester. Join us for a delicious free lunch, enjoy a performance, sample goods from local vendors, and more!
SFUReady, formerly known as the SFU Services Fair, takes place as part of the Welcome Back Community BBQ in the Fall semester, and at Harbour Centre at the start of the Spring semester. Whether you're in your first term or further along in your studies, you’ll find something valuable and informative at SFUReady. Stop by and check out the different booths, pick up some free swag and resources, speak to knowledgeable and friendly SFU staff and community members, and learn about the many free resources and services that are available to you. You'll also be able to ask any questions you may have!
