Wellness Day

Wellness Day is an annual event that aims to positively influence the health and well-being of staff, faculty, and students. SFU’s Vancouver campus hosted the first Wellness Day in the Spring of 2020 at the Morris J. Wosk Centre for Dialogue. The full day of in-person events included yoga, chair massages, nutrition and physio workshops, a healthy lunch, as well as a variety of information booths hosted by amazing internal and local vendors.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the next three offerings of Wellness Day were virtual. This allowed us to open up the event to all staff, faculty, and students at SFU. Events like mindfulness meditations, mental health panel discussions, and gratitude and resilience workshops were complimented by additional engagement activities such as photo contests and an active challenge.

We were thrilled to host the Spring 2023 offering as a hybrid event with a mix of in-person and online activities. An Art Therapy painting workshop, a Wellness Fair with local vendors and businesses, and the much-loved Dog Therapy brought the Vancouver campus community together to have some fun, de-stress, and to gain valuable health and wellness information and resources.
