Tuition

Tuition is per term, rather than per course or credit hour.

FOR THE 2023-24 ACADEMIC YEAR:

• Regular Full-time Fee Tuition: 
  $2,066.11 per term*
• Regular Continuing Fee Tuition**:
  $1,033.06 per term*

*Tuition and fees are subject to change, subject to provincial legislation, and subject to board of governors approval.
** After six completed terms of full-time fees in a regular fee master's program.

Student Fees

In addition to tuition, students will pay ancillary fees. The graduation fee, student services fee, graduate student activity fee, recreation-athletics fee, and Universal Transit Pass. SFU also requires students to have medical insurance, with International students taking out a 3 month "guard.me" plan before their BC provincial medical plan starts.

If you choose you may opt out of some additional fees such as the UPass (those not within the Lower Mainland of BC) and the Graduate Student Health Plan (if you have coverage through your or a spouse's employment).
