Apartheid and military invasion are well recognized structural determinants of health. Ongoing military campaigns and blockades in Gaza have severely constrained the availability and provision of health care services. The magnitude of the effects of this violence on the Gaza health care system over a relatively short period of time is unprecedented. Given these observations, this event aims to answer the question: What are the short-, medium-, and long-term impacts of the health system crisis in Gaza on the health and wellness of Palestinian people?
