We are proud that, alongside numerous community partners, CCMS hosted a screening of the documentary The Encampments, this time on SFU’s Surrey campus. This timely documentary tracks how students flooded Columbia University’s lawn to create the Gaza Solidarity Encampment in order to pressure their university to divest from the US and Israeli weapons companies.

This screening was followed by a short discussion and Q&A hosted by the screening’s partnering organizations.

This film screening was cosponsored by the Centre for Comparative Muslim Studies, SurDelRock4Palestine, ClovLang4Palestine, Independent Jewish Voices, Global Peace Alliance, and from the river to the sea collective.
