Application details

There is no minimum TOEFL or IELTS score required to apply for this part-time certificate program. We will evaluate your application based on your academic qualifications, proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese, and your performance on our entrance exam.

Applicants to the program must fulfill the following entrance requirements before proceeding with the entrance exam:

• An undergraduate (bachelor’s) degree or an equivalent combination of college education and work experience
  
• Competence in both English and Mandarin Chinese
• Cross-cultural competence
• Past training in interpreting and translation, or equivalent experience in working as an interpreter/translator is preferred but not required

Once we review your application, we will arrange the entrance exam, which consists of written translation and oral tests. If you pass the entrance exam, you'll be accepted into the program and receive further instructions on paying your tuition. You must pay your tuition in full before we release a formal letter of admission.
