Vincent Clerc

VP of Hardware and Manufacturing, Sanctuary AI

Vincent Clerc is the VP of Hardware and Manufacturing at Santuary AI, located in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Vincent has been the VP of Engineering at Terramera from 2020 to 2023 Prior to that Vincent has been the Director of the Advanced Robotics Research Lab for Softbank Robotics for seven years from 2010 to 2017. He is one of the makers of Pepper, the iconic Softbank Robotics humanoid robot. NAO and ROMEO, are two other humanoid robots developed by Aldebaran robotics that have been released under his supervision.  More recently, he has led Robotics Research at Dyson, UK, as a Global Director of Robotics Research from 2017 to 2020. He has also operated as the CTO of Zodiac Aerospace's Mission Critical Data Recorder business unit for 4 years, from 2006 until 2010. Vincent holds two engineering degrees in Mechanics and Electronics and a dual PhD in Robotics machine vision and Signal Processing. Vincent has spent the 27 years of his career helping large and small companies to reach their full potential in technology.
