Abstract:
In this seminar, Robyn will share how the Rotary Club of Chilliwack formed its Climate Change Action Group (CCAG), highlight several climate-focused initiatives the group has undertaken, and outline what is next for the group. She will showcase how the CCAG’s projects are creating impact both locally and internationally and discuss how embracing climate action has become a powerful recruitment tool for the club by attracting younger members and others who are looking to make a meaningful difference through Rotary.
About the Speaker:
Robyn Curtis holds a degree in Biology from the University of Victoria and a Commercial Pilot Licence. She has spent more than 25 years in the aviation industry in a variety of roles and now works as a consultant, primarily supporting airports.
Robyn has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Chilliwack since 2018 and serves as Chair of the club’s Climate Change Action Group. Through her work, she hopes to inspire other Rotarians to take meaningful action on climate change.
