Convocation Senator Election - Spring 2026
The following nominations have been received to stand for election as one of four SFU Convocation Senators for term of office from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2029:

Online Voting: April 8, 2026 until April 17, 2026 at 4:00 pm
If you do not receive an email on April 8th giving you access to vote and you believe that you are eligible to vote, please contact the Electoral Officer at senate@sfu.ca before the close of voting on April 17th.
You are eligible to vote if you are one or more of the following:
- SFU Alumni
- SFU Honorary Degree Recipients
- SFU Founders
- SFU Faculty (including Professor Emeriti)
- SFU Senators
- SFU President
Convocation senators are elected by and from those who have graduated from SFU (members of convocation). The duties include attending Senate meetings (once a month) and serving on at least one Senate committee. Senate is responsible for academic governance at the university, including all matters pertaining to teaching and research. Those who are eligible to be candidates are: SFU Alumni, SFU Honorary Degree Recipients, and SFU Founders.
