The Indigenous Student Centre respectfully acknowledges that Simon Fraser University is on unceded Coast Salish Territory - the traditional territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish), səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) and Katzie Nations.

The ISC cares deeply for the safety of Indigenous students and staff and will respectfully follow COVID-related protocols. The ISC is open and we are offering in-person services, and we have also incorporated virtual options for almost all of our programs and events. During the month of September, we encourage students to continue to utilize our virtual services and keep in mind the following ISC protocols:

  • Masks are required in all indoor common areas and learning spaces on all SFU campuses.
  • We encourage the ISC community to get vaccinated. Vaccination clinics will be available on Burnaby and Surrey campuses.
  • The ISC is open, however we encourage students to utilize our services virtually for the month of September.
  • ISC staff will be conducting contact tracing for those who visit the ISC. Please check-in with staff upon arrival.

Be sure to check out SFU's Return to Campus plan for specific updates and university-wide guidelines.
