Community Safety Events

SFU’s Vancouver campus provides a safe and secure place for students, staff, and faculty to study, work, and teach. To enhance safety measures in and around the campus, we have brought our community together to create open dialogues regarding safety-related experiences at SFU and to explore ways to further improve community safety.

Various safety related workshops have been organized to better equip people with knowledge, tools, and resources in campus safety measures. Please read on below for more information on upcoming workshops.

Community Safety Forum

The Community Safety Forum event series launched in 2022 and focuses on how we can keep our campus welcoming, safe, and inclusive. The semesterly open forums provide an opportunity for SFU Vancouver students, staff, and faculty to come together with our safety partners (Vancouver Police, Transit Police, Campus Safety and Risk Services, etc), to discuss campus and community safety. Community representatives also attend to discuss the current situation in the neighbourhood, and there are opportunities to ask questions, raise concerns, and learn about upgraded safety measures taken.

Please stay tuned for the next Community Safety Forum.
