The Office of the Vice President, People, Equity and Inclusion oversees a number of areas, including Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, People and Organization Development, and Human Resources and Labour Relations. The portfolio also supports Equity and Faculty Experience in collaboration with the Provost and VP Academic who leads Faculty Relations.

SFU’s Equity, Diversity and Inclusion team is responsible for sharing the tools, resources and actions to ensure EDI values are embedded in all key decisions and institutional strategies.

Equity and Faculty experience
In collaboration with the Faculty Relations Office, the Equity and Faculty Experience team serves teaching and research faculty, librarian and archivist faculty, and academic administrators. Equity and Faculty Experience advises on faculty equity and all shared operational services, such as faculty benefits administration and immigration support. The Faculty Relations Office with all roles and functions supporting collective agreement administration, supporting faculties and faculty affairs, reports to the Provost’s Office.
