Career + Professional Development
Whether you’re a recent alumnus seeking help with your next steps after Convocation, or established in your career and interested in making a mid-career change or keeping your skills up-to-date, SFU can be your lifelong resource for connections, professional development and support.
Through SFU Continuing Studies, the two-session assessment packages include a group career assessment session, a vocational profile, and a one-on-one session with a Registered Clinical Counsellor or Canadian Certified Counsellor, who will use internationally recognized tools such as CareerLeader®, StrengthsFinderTM, and the Vocational Values Scale.
Your first session is a 2.5-hour assessment to be followed approximately two weeks later by a one-hour, one-on-one profile interpretation meeting with a Registered Clinical Counsellor or Canadian Certified Counsellor.
