SFU has been named Canada’s number one comprehensive university in the 2026 Maclean’s University Rankings. The university has held top spot in the rankings for 17 of the last 18 years, with Maclean’s describing the institution as “contemporary, inventive and forward-thinking.”

Alumni on the move: meet, mingle & make memories

The Alumni Team has organized several events locally, virtually and around the world for alumni to reconnect, share experiences, and build new connections. Upcoming gatherings will take place in Toronto, Silicon Valley, Shanghai, and Singapore. More locations to be announced—stay tuned!

$150k awarded from the Cmolik-SFU Grant Program

Tens of thousands of B.C. public school students—from kindergarten to grade 12—are embarking on new tech-based projects thanks to $150,000 from the Cmolik–SFU Grant Program. Administered by the Faculty of Education, the program supports classroom, school, and district-based science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics (STEAM) projects.
