Enrollment & Application
Welcome to SFU Childcare (SFUCCS). We provide the highest quality childcare to the families of current SFUCCS staff, SFU families (SFU staff, students and faculty) and to UniverCity families. If there is insufficient enrollment from these three communities, then parent/guardian membership shall be open to non-SFU/non-UniverCity families.
Step 1: Apply
Submit an online waitlist application or drop off application form in person.
Step 2: Enrollment
Once your application is received, your information is entered into the waitlist under your priority level. To find more about how the waitlist works, please see the enrollment process page.
Step 3: Shortlist
You will receive the shortlist email 4-5 weeks prior to your entry date desired if spaces become available. If you do not respond to this email expressing your interest for a space, you will not be considered for a space in that intake.
Step 4: Offers
Any space offers will be made one (1) month prior to the start date.

Fees
SFUCCS participates in the $10 a Day ChildCareBC program. Click on the learn more button below to find out more about fees, payment methods, the ChildCareBC program and more.
Our Programs
SFUCCS provides care and early learning experience to over 400 children ranging in age from 3 months to 12 years old across 19 different programs and 3 different locations: SFU Burnaby Mountain Campus East and West and, Sapperton - Burnaby.

Please note:
- It is not unusual for SFU Status families to be on the infant and toddler waiting list for 12-18 months before potentially being offered a space.
- It is extremely rare that we are in a position to offer infant/toddler spaces on Burnaby Mountain to Non-SFU Families. Chances may increase for the 3 to 5 years old age group.

Our wait list numbers as of November 2025 are below. There are approximately
- Infant/Toddler (3-36 months old): 933 on the waitlist
- 3-5 years old program: 501 on the waitlist
- School Age (5-12 years old): 166 on the waitlist
Being on the waiting list does not guarantee that you will receive a space offer.
