Project Quality and Risk Management
Develop the professional tools needed to manage project quality and navigate risks and uncertainties throughout the project life cycle. You’ll explore methods to define quality targets for processes and deliverables while identifying potential threats to project success. You’ll also practise creating a Risk Management Plan (RMP) and quality measures, using practical tools and real-world scenarios to anticipate challenges and enhance project resilience.
The final assignment is due one week after the course ends.

- Develop goals dealing with process and deliverable quality
- Identify and assess project risks to manage a project to achieve quality standards
- Create a Risk Management Plan (RMP) to mitigate risks and maintain project quality
- Respond to risks and opportunities, including mitigation and recovery planning

Required textbook:
A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), 8th edition. Available as of January 2026 for purchase from online or local bookstores, or through the PMI website. We will expect you to have read the textbook, as this course will reference relevant chapters.
