Wendy Barron laboured in the salt mines of health care for a few decades before making the leap to editing to earn her living. She is a graduate of The Writer’s Studio and the Editing Certificate and Plain Language Certificate programs at Simon Fraser University Continuing Studies.
She works in the publishing department at B.C.'s provider of legal aid, producing plain language print and web materials designed to improve access to justice for people in B.C. Before legal aid, she ran her own editing business, helping clients reach the right audiences for their fiction, non-fiction, scholarly, business and health writing.
She loves reading, travelling, puns and lemon desserts. Her favourite thing is when someone else does the cooking and cleaning.
