Maren McBride
Maren McBride is a senior landscape architect and urban designer at DIALOG in Vancouver, B.C. As an accomplished landscape architect, urban designer and planner, she draws from over a decade of broad experience working across North America on projects that span community master planning, parks and open space, urban plazas, sustainable development and infrastructure. Through a collaborative and pragmatic approach, she tackles complex urban issues and design challenges – balancing aesthetics, human experience, social equity and ecology to create spaces that are functional, flexible and inspired.
Maren is a graduate of the landscape architecture program at the University of California, Davis, completed a master's of community and regional planning at the University of British Columbia, and studied urban design at the Danish Institute of Study in Copenhagen, Denmark. She serves on the Landscape Architecture Magazine Editorial Advisory Committee, as chair of the American Society of Landscape Architect’s Urban Design Professional Practice Network and as an adjunct professor at UBC’s School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
