Kam Rai

Kam Rai is an experienced entrepreneur, risk management strategist and coffee enthusiast with a background in technology, finance and risk management. 

Following the completion of his bachelor’s in commerce, Kam started off as a teller at a financial institution. His decade-long journey in banking included positions in corporate finance and risk management, as well as the achievement of his Canadian Risk Management (CRM) designation.

To challenge himself, he decided to go off to San Francisco to develop his own startup consulting firm in 2016. After being surrounded by talented individuals in tech and with a curious mind, Kam dedicated his time to an immersive boot camp to become a full-stack web developer in order to bridge the gap between finance and tech.

With a blended background and education in finance, technology, entrepreneurship, and compliance, Kam currently works with the federal government as a senior consultant for the finance department.

With over a decade of experience in finance for banks and their regulatory bodies, Kam is a staunch advocate for financial literacy. He enjoys finding solutions to financial challenges that prevent us from reaching our financial potential.

In his spare time, Kam enjoys hiking with his dog Lucy and enjoys travelling to places off the beaten path where he can immerse himself in food and culture.
