Application details

We will evaluate your application to this part-time program based on your academic qualifications, relevant work experience and interest in the field. For admission to this program, we require:

• Grade 12 or equivalent and
• Two or more years of work experience and/or volunteer experience in a first-response agency or organization

Please include the following with your application:

• A resumé that includes your education and work history
• A letter telling us about your experience working as a first responder and why you would like to be considered for the First Responders Trauma Prevention and Recovery Certificate program (300 words max)

You can also take individual courses toward the certificate before you apply. If you are accepted to the program at a later date, any courses that you complete successfully (that are part of the First Responders Trauma Prevention and Recovery Certificate curriculum at the time you apply) will count toward your certificate.
