Literary Arts in the early years

Regular readings and talks by local and visiting writers have long been a highlight of the literary activity at SFU.  Many of these events were recorded on cassettes that are housed in Special Collections in the Bennett Library.  Digitization to make these tapes available to the general public is a long-term goal.

Currently accessible are recordings from the archive of Robin Blaser, a poet and scholar whose significant contribution to SFU’s vibrant literary climate inspired many students over many decades from 1966 onward.
