About

Zeinab Naderpour (Zenita) holds a BA in Japanese Language and Literature from the University of Tehran and an MA in Japanese Applied Linguistics from Ochanomizu University, Tokyo. She is currently a PhD candidate in Linguistics at Simon Fraser University. Her research lies at the intersection of psycholinguistics and sociolinguistics, focusing on how listeners process accented speech in real time. She is particularly interested in predictive processing, lexical competition, accent familiarity, and the influence of listener-side social expectations on spoken language comprehension. Outside of research, she enjoys painting, chess, and tennis.
