SFU Linguistics is currently inviting applications for one tenure-track faculty position in computational linguistics at the rank of Assistant Professor. The academic appointment will be a full-time position in the Department of Linguistics, and will be affiliated with the Social Data Analytics Program (SDA). Timeline for Sessional Instructor postings

Fall Term beginning September: Postings available late April/early May
Spring Term beginning January: Postings available late August/early Sept
Summer Term beginning May: Postings available late December/early January

Timeline for Teaching Assistant postings

Fall Term beginning September: Postings available early July
Spring Term beginning January: Postings available early November
Summer Term beginning May: Postings available early March

In hiring Teaching Assistants, departments give priority to applicants in the following order:
(i) Graduate students registered in the department
(ii) Graduate students registered in other departments
(iii) Undergraduate Teaching Assistants (UTA) or External Teaching Assistants (ETA)
