Congratulations to our future SLPs!

If you were to poll students in the Department of Lingusitics about what they hope to do with their degree, you would find that one of the popular career choices is Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) and Audiology. To pursue a career in this field in Canada, a graduate degree is required, and admission to the SLP graduate programs iin Canada is highly competitive.

The Department of Linguistics undergraduate advisor, Rita Parmar, has helped many prospective SLP applicants over the years, and she often gets to hear the good news from these students. This year we received news that eight SFU students will be starting graduate programs in SLP and Audiology in Fall 2020. All eight of these students will be staying in Vancouver at UBC!
