Veso Jungic and Jamie Mulholland honoured at the Winter Canadian Mathematical Society 2026
We are thrilled to announce that the Department of Mathematics at Simon Fraser University will have a strong and prominent presence at the upcoming Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) Winter Meeting.
Our department's exceptional group of teaching faculty will be highlighted on the national stage through two major program features: Veso Jungic will serve as the Opening Lecture Speaker, and Jamie Mulholland will be featured as the Adrien Pouliot Prize Speaker.
We recognize and highly appreciate their outstanding contributions to mathematics education and outreach. These prominent speaking roles underscore the national recognition and leadership of SFU’s teaching faculty within the broader mathematical community.
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) Winter Meeting will take place in Montréal, Quebec, on December 11–14, 2026. To learn more about the schedule and registration, visit the official CMS Winter Meeting website.
