The New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) was designed by the Canada Research Coordinating Committee after extensive national consultation. It is administered by the Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat (TIPS) on behalf of Canada's three research granting agencies.
The NFRF promotes groundbreaking and interdisciplinary research through three funding streams:
- Exploration
Generates opportunities for Canada to build strength in high-risk, high-reward and interdisciplinary research.
