Research

My general interest is statistical computing. Most of my work attempts to take advantage of the power of modern computing to solve real statistical problems. An area where I devoted a lot of attention is the integration problem arising in Bayesian applications. In the last decade, my interest in sports analytics has grown to become my major research focus. In sports analytics, I have published over 60 journal articles and have served as a keynote/plenary speaker on more than 10 occasions. Many of my former students now work in the sports analytics industry or with professional sports teams.
