Dr. Henny Yeung, assistant professor in the Department of Linguistics, has received a $6000 Teaching and Learning Development grant for a project that will investigate experiential learning in the undergraduate classroom.

The project involves connecting students in Linguistics 350 - First Language Acquisition, with parents and young children from a community partner organization.

It is hoped that making first language acquisition more personal will positively impact attitudes, help increase motivation, and reinforce theoretical concepts.
