Beverly Hannah, MA student, and Keith Leung, PhD student, attended the International Congress of Phonetic Sciences conference in Glasgow, UK, August 10-14, 2015. Beverly presented "Examining visible articulatory features in clear and conversational speech" (authored by By Tang, Lisa; Hannah, Beverly; Jongman, Allard; Sereno, Joan A.; Wang, Yue and Hamarneh, Ghassan") and Keithe presented "Acoustic characteristics of clearly spoken English tense and lax vowels" (authored by) Leung, Keith King Wui; Jongman, Allard; Wang, Yue and Sereno, Joan A.".

Emma Mileva, PhD student, presented “Decoding print advertisements or why a pragmatic approach is necessary” at the DICOEN VIII 8th International Conference in Discourse, Communication, and the Enterprise in Naples, Italy, June 11-13, 2015.

Kyeong-min Kim, PhD student, presented "Syntax of the Korean VP anaphor: An experimental study" with his supervisor and committee member Dr. Chung-hye Han and Dr. Keir Moulton at the ICKL (International Circle of Korean Linguistics) and the Harvard-ISOKL (International Symposium on Korean Linguistics) on July 24-26, 2015, at the University of Chicago.
