Three Undergraduates Presenting at the Undergraduate Research Symposium

On Tuesday, March 26, three of our undergraduate students will be presenting at the second annual Undergraduate Research Symposium in the Diamond Alumni Centre (DAC). It will take place from 9:00 - 4:00. Students will be presenting their research in blocks of 45 minutes. In each block, students provide a five-minute presentation of their work, and then a 15-minute discussion will be take place after.

From 10:15 - 11:00 am, Anisa Maya Dhanji and Holly Gendron will be presenting "sCIP: The s-cluster inventory project" under the topic "Learning to Converse: Speech Social Competency and Reflective Teaching" in the Thompson Room. This work was completed under the supervision of Dr. Ashley Farris-Trimble.

From 2:30 - 3:15 pm, Vasundhara Gautam will be presenting "Automating Comment Moderation: Topics and Toxicity in Online News" under the topic "Hacking, for Better or Worse: Leveraging Computing Power" in the Dining room. This work was completed under the supervision of Dr. Maite Taboada.
