Registration is now open for the Gender Summit North America 2017!

From November 6 to 8, 2017, close to 600 advocates of gender equality from science, innovation and development will participate in this event, to be held in Montréal, Canada. WWEST will also be in attendance.

It is a great honour for Canada to welcome the Summit and all of its participants for the first time. Those present will not only have the opportunity to engage in fruitful discussions under the overarching theme of “Embracing pluralism and thriving through diversity – shaping science and innovation” but they will also have the unique opportunity of participating in Canada’s 150th and the city of Montréal’s 375th anniversary celebrations.

The Gender Summit 11 North America 2017 will be co-hosted by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada, Fonds de recherche du Québec – Nature et technologiesFonds de recherche du Québec – Santé, and Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture, in collaboration with many other organizations, including (but not limited to) Portia Ltd from the UK, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the US National Science Foundation, and France's Centre national de la recherche scientifique.

In addition, the summit features a poster competition. Selection of posters will be done through an Abstract competition carried out before the Summit. The details are here. Deadline for submissions is August 25, 2017.
