Interested in participating in Hackseq this year?

The hackathon will be over 3 days (Oct 20-22) at the Life Sciences Institute at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver BC. They have already got some amazing projects proposed by team leads and they will be leading small groups (you) to solve their challenging and exciting genomics problem.

Their goal is to bring together a diverse set of individuals to catalyze innovative solutions to today's biggest genomics problems. Any genomics, bioinformatics or computer science enthusiast is welcome. Participation is free and they are offering free childcare! All pipelines and tools generated from hackseq will be made publicly available. And of course, there will be plenty of snacks, coffee, food, and night-time socials. Our partner Society for Canadian Women in Science and Technology helped make this event possible.
