The Island Women in Science and Technology (iWIST) is hosting an exciting leadership conference for women entitled "Leading the Way" in Victoria, BC! On October 27 and 28, enjoy an evening reception and a full day of panels covering everything from securing board appointments to leadership success strategies. Hear from women leaders in various STEM fields, including Ann Makosinski (Google Science Fair and ISEF winner), WWEST's own Dr. Lesley Shannon (NSERC Chair for Women in Science and Engineering, BC/Yukon Region), and many more! 

Women continue to be underrepresented on Boards and in the C Suite, and iWIST wants to change that by inspiring women in STEM to lead the way for the next generation. This event brings together women in the STEM community who have thrived in sectors with a traditionally masculine culture, and it's sure to be an inspiring two days that encourages you to advance your career by using smart strategies, while giving you the tools you need to pursue leadership opportunities in the workplace.
