The 5th annual Women in Physics Canada Conference will be held from July 27 to 29 at the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon. WIPC 2016 is a national, scientific conference that offers the opportunity for early career scientists to present their work and attend talks from leaders in the field. The conference provides support to early career women and encourages the progression of careers in science. Aimed at graduate students in physics, astrophysics, mathematical physics and other related fields, the event is a great opportunity to network with women in physics from across Canada through shared experiences, ideas and advice.

The conference features:

  • Expert panels on career advancement and work-life balance

  • Oral and poster sessions for attendees (Showcase your work! Abstracts are due June 27)
  • Social activities
  • Plenary science talks from leading women in physics

Registration fees (early/regular) includes all meals during the conference:
Undergrad students: $30 / $45
Graduate students: $40 / $60
Postdoctoral fellows: $50 / $75
Faculty & non-academic: $100 / $150

Early-bird registration ends on May 30, so don't delay! Travel grants are available - inquire with your department/faculty to see what offers are available. The general registration deadline is Friday, June 17.
