Women of Innovation

The Women of Innovation Symposium recognizes and documents the experiences and accomplishments of innovative Canadian women in engineering, and disseminates their inspiring stories. Panels featuring women experts, networking sessions, and a keynote address by Dr. Elizabeth Cannon, President of the University of Calgary, are part of this one-day symposium's lineup. Confirmed panelists are experts from a variety of of universities and organizations, including (but not limited to) Ruby Heap (Professor, University of Ottawa), Colleen Legzdins (Refinery Water Engineering and Associates), Jeanette Southwood (Engineers Canada), and Valérie Orsat (McGill University).

The Symposium is hosted by the University of Waterloo's Department of Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering and is made possible in part by WWEST and eng•cite's Funding Partners Program.
