Hannah Watkins and Elana Varner shine again at the SFU-wide 3-Minute Thesis Competition

March 16, 2019

Department of Biological Sciences

ALL AWARDS at the SFU-wide 3-Min Thesis Competition were collected by two BISC students. Hannah Watkins (Côté-Lab) was the runner-up with her talk “Vitamin Pee for a Healthy Sea” and Elana Varner (Gries-Lab) was the 1st Place winner and the People's Choice Award winner with her talk “Sex appeal of mouse pee safeguards wildlife".

Congratulations, Hannah and Elana (left and right in photo; credit: Adam Blake)!

Notice the multi-modal choreography of Elana's presentation. Her outfit complements her talk! 😊

Elana will move on to represent SFU at the Western Regional Competition.
