Mason King

Postdoctoral Fellow, Brown Lab

Mason is a fish and wildlife ecotoxicologist who typically works in coastal marine systems. His current research is focused on which types of roadway contaminants may enter salmon streams at harmful amounts, when and where that happens following rainfall, and how that may affect fish health. That work is based in metropolitan Vancouver, British Columbia. The project employs water chemistry and animal physiology methods and is especially focused on coho salmon, a species that is sensitive to a tire rubber additive. A list of his past publications is available here (external link).
