PR grad honoured by Canadian Public Relations Society Vancouver

June 24, 2019

The Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS) Vancouver chapter has awarded its annual Student Scholarship to Bernice Puzon, a recent graduate of our Public Relations Certificate program. The $2,000 scholarship is granted each year to a PR or communications student who submits excellent project work for a real-world client.

Before completing the Public Relations program in 2018, Bernice served her practicum at the Vancouver Economic Commission, a non-profit government agency that represents Vancouver and its many business sectors, including the film industry.

The CPRS Vancouver Student Scholarship recognizes Bernice’s work on behalf of the Vancouver Film Commission, which included writing issues briefs to lead communications strategy, and preparing engaging evergreen content to grow the commission’s Twitter presence.

Since completing the PR program, she has been hired by SFU to join its team of marketing and communication professionals.

Congratulations to Bernice on her well-deserved award!
