Alex Bertram is a writer and production editor and has worked in academic and trade publishing in Melbourne and London. She was recently awarded her PhD in creative writing for her cultural biography of a portrait of French actress, Sarah Bernhardt. Alex is fascinated by the relationship between words and pictures. Her article exploring this theme was published this year by the National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE) in their journal of creative writing research, Writing in Practice, Vol. 8.
