Yong Mei Ni

Yong Mei Ni has been a certified translator of the Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia (STIBC) since 2009. She holds a BA in economics and MA in foreign languages and applied linguistics. She also took consecutive/simultaneous training with the European Commission in 1996.

Before joining the STIBC, she was a full-time instructor of the Interpretation Course and Business Writing course at the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics (SUIBE) and a part-time conference interpreter and translator.

Yong Mei has co-authored two coursebooks and provided simultaneous and consecutive interpretation services to numerous international conferences, seminars and workshops both in China and Canada. She is an active member of the STIBC.
