Yoga is an ideal practice for all ages as it celebrates individuality and sees all stages of life as a celebration and opportunity to deepen self-awareness and compassion. Through gentle movements and mindfulness, yoga builds awareness of habits that create tension in the body and mind.
This class emphasizes safety and non-competitiveness and is open to all levels—especially beginners. It is especially appropriate for those 55+. Classes will consist of breathing techniques, gentle floor stretches and strengthening standing poses.
This class is suited for anyone who is
- curious about yoga, but concerned about being too inflexible or unfit
- looking for a gentle style of yoga that relaxes the nervous system
- wishing to restore or maintain body strength and balance
