Jia Shen 沈迦, writer and historian

Living between Vancouver and Wenzhou, China, Shen Jia researches and writes on the relationships between Western missionaries and modern China. He's the author of《尋找蘇慧 廉》 (A Way of Finding What’s True, 2013), a bestseller about William Edward Soothill, FRGS (1861-1935), a Methodist missionary and later a leading British sinologist who taught at Oxford.

Jiawei Shen 沈嘉蔚, artist and historian

Based in Sydney, Australia, Jiawei Shen is a gifted painter known for his complex history paintings, and a sought-after portraitist whose works are widely represented in public and private collections in Australia and throughout the world. He is also the author of two books on the modern history of China: Old China Through G.E. Morrison’s Eyes (2005), and Painting History – China’s Revolution in a Global Context (2018).
