Shari Virjee-Tañada
PROGRAM COORDINATOR,
SEMESTER IN DIALOGUE
Pronouns: she/her
Shari is born and raised in Vancouver, having spent several years in tropical Asia working as an educational consultant for various intergovernmental and development organizations as well as the private sector. In Canada, it's been primarily in the post-secondary and settlement sector where her work has focussed on developing, delivering and managing innovative professional learning and capacity building opportunities for a broad range of audiences. Most recently Shari served as Strategist: Justice, Equity, and Inclusion for Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), providing SFU undergraduate and graduate students involved in WIL, an opportunity to learn and discuss equity, diversity and inclusion issues in their work and learning contexts, as part of a professional development and bursary program.
When not working Shari enjoys time with her kids and young dog, and rebalancing with a good book, a good coffee, yoga, and recently, dragon boating!
