Basics of Machine Tools

This hands-on training emphasizes practical machine shop skills. At the end of the training, participants will have acquired basic machining theory, and will be able to accomplish basic machining tasks and other machine shop practices.

This training program also serves as a prerequisite for a higher level training program where students learn professional level skills in machining and fabrication. A firm prerequisite of this training program is passing the SFU safety course (or equivalent).

  • Training Fee: $500 (for students in the  Faculty of Applied Sciences (FAS) );  $30/hr or $900 (non-FAS students)

CANCELLATION:
1.  The traiNing schedule maybe cancelled  by the School if a minimum of 6 enrollment is not met;  refunds shall be issued accordingly.
2.  100%  refund if participant withdrew within 3 business days prior to the start of the training period.
