Research Support

The research operations staff are the first point of contact for faculty members who are interested in applying for research funds. We provide pre-award support in grant development to secure research funding, post-award support in research administration, and assistance in navigating policies and procedures of both the school of medicine and SFU.

Pre-Award Support

• Identification of research funding opportunities based on faculty members’ research interests and needs
• Assistance for faculty members to develop a long-term, diverse funding portfolio
• Editorial and critical review of grant applications
• Facilitation support for planning of community-engaged research grants and large team grants

Post-Award Support

• Assistance in grant account set-up, reporting, and financial administration
• Support in ethics and compliance application and submission
• Support in research management, including research staff hiring and training
• Assistance with end-of-grant knowledge dissemination and mobilization
